Where to Stay for Arizona Car Week 2027: Scottsdale or Paradise Valley?
13 September 2026

Arizona Car Week 2027 runs from 22 to 31 January. Compare Paradise Valley, North Scottsdale and the wider Phoenix valley for collector and corporate accommodation.
Three anchors, not one venue
Arizona Car Week runs from 22 to 31 January 2027. Unlike a single-venue show, it is a distributed calendar with three separate geographic anchors. The Arizona Concours d'Elegance takes place on 24 January at Scottsdale Civic Center, marking Ferrari's 80th anniversary with an expected field of more than one hundred collector vehicles. Barrett-Jackson runs from 23 to 31 January at WestWorld in North Scottsdale. RM Sotheby's holds its Arizona sale on 29 January at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.
The consequence for accommodation is straightforward: no single address is optimally placed for all three. The location that works best depends on which parts of the calendar your group actually attends, and how often the residence is used during the day rather than only at night.
Comparing the principal areas
| Area | Suits | Residence character | Best for | Consideration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paradise Valley | Senior corporate groups and collectors | Large walled estates with mature grounds | Privacy, entertaining and a central position in the valley | Estate standards vary widely; inspection detail matters |
| North Scottsdale | Groups centred on Barrett-Jackson at WestWorld | Contemporary desert homes | Shortest daily movements to the auction week | Further from Phoenix venues and downtown dining |
| Silverleaf and DC Ranch | Executive teams wanting modern, uniform accommodation | New-build homes with substantial garaging | Bedroom consistency and car space | Community rules on access and parking must be checked |
| Camelback and central Scottsdale | Mixed programmes covering concours and auctions | Established homes on generous plots | Balanced position between Scottsdale and Phoenix | Plot sizes vary; privacy is not automatic |
| Carefree and Cave Creek | Private clients prioritising seclusion | Desert estates with long approaches | Quiet and space | Every movement becomes a planned journey |
The evening programme usually decides it
Most corporate groups spend their days at venues. What differentiates the accommodation is what happens between five in the evening and ten at night. If the plan involves client dinners, a private reception, a collector gathering or simply an informal debrief with the senior team, the residence becomes part of the programme and its dining, terrace and reception space matter as much as its position.
If, conversely, the group is out every evening and the house is used for sleeping and breakfast, position becomes the dominant factor and a smaller, closer property will usually serve better than an impressive estate twenty minutes further out.
Garaging and driveways for collector vehicles
Arizona attracts guests who bring cars, buy cars, or both. A property that suits a collector group has requirements that a standard luxury rental brief will not capture.
- Enclosed garaging with confirmed door height and internal clearance.
- Driveway gradient and apron detail, which decide whether a low car can enter at all.
- Space for a purchased vehicle to be delivered and stored before shipping.
- Separate standing for chauffeur vehicles so they do not obstruct the garage.
- Confirmed permissions if a transporter needs to reach the property.
January in Arizona: plan the indoor alternative
The valley is at its best in late January, which is exactly why the calendar sits there. Evenings, however, cool sharply, and a proportion of outdoor entertaining space becomes uncomfortable after dark without heating. Rain is less common but not absent.
Any group planning to host at the residence should confirm the indoor fallback before committing. A terrace dinner for thirty is only a plan if there is somewhere to move thirty people to. Where required, dining, private chefs and service can be coordinated alongside the residence.
Bedroom equality for corporate parties
Desert estates frequently combine a spectacular principal suite with guest rooms of markedly lower standard, or with casita accommodation reached across the grounds. That structure is fine for a family and awkward for a board. Where senior colleagues of similar rank are travelling together, comparable rooms prevent an unnecessary conversation on arrival.
Casitas can be an asset rather than a problem when used deliberately, for example for a principal who wants separation, or for staff. The mistake is discovering the arrangement after allocation.
Hybrid arrangements and multiple homes
Larger delegations often work best across a principal residence and a nearby hotel, particularly when part of the team is working auction days and part is hosting. Two adjacent homes can also outperform one very large property, giving each group its own living space while keeping the party together for dinner. Grand Touring Residences sources these through local Scottsdale and Paradise Valley property specialists and can assess them as a single brief.

Request a ResidenceWhat to settle first
Before comparing houses, settle which venues your group will attend, how many evenings are hosted at the residence, whether cars will be stored on site, and how many senior guests need equivalent rooms. Those four answers narrow the valley quickly, and they matter far more than a general preference for one suburb over another.
